Author Study and Contractions

We performed word surgery. The kids had to take two words and create a contraction. They used a band-aid as the apostrophe.

We did an author study over David Shannon. The kids enjoyed reading a variety of his books. The kids made  text to self connections with the book "A Bad Case of the Stripes". They did an amazing job!
